hinese New Year is an exciting time for the children at Prep. The Chinese teacher organizes traditional activities for the children, including stories about the ancient Chinese New Year’s monster (guò nián), lion dancing (wǔ shī), decorating the school with lanterns and symbols of luck (fú) and recieving the famous red envelope (hóngbāo) with something special (not money!) inside. Traditional Chinese food and drink are served to the children on this day.
